I can't blame the guy for closing down a site that wasn't making money, especially if it wasn't breaking even. I just wish he would have given us all a heads up before taking it down. I was working on a couple private deepfakes for people there, so hopefully they'll find me here to collect the work I've done, or am currently doing for them.

This is definitely a big hit to the community. I hope everyone can regroup here, and continue to build =)

This technology is just taking off!
What exists here is a pool of technical specialists, who have assembled the knowledge, tools and hardware to make the product happen.
The market for it will explode.
Remember revenge porn?
Everyone has someone he would like to see porn from.
From some earlier post it was indicated some technicians do product for private order.
And they are upset the other site went down. And with them the customer contact.
But that is just temporary. The demand is there, the offer here. All who want too will find their way into this forum. For the rest, a streamlined request form can be created in the Main page.
What bothers me most at the moment is
1. the website seems to creak under the traffic, gotta be real patient for stuff to happen, even in the forums. - digitalocean.com has, according to a professional, been the only one which could scale performance with increasing traffic.
2. Of course those investing time and money into this technology are motivated by greed. This whole Civilization is conditioned like that.
However, from the downfall of dfpk lessons can be learned.
Webmasters need to be in it for the long haul. They need to ensure technical infrastructure is up to par with the demand, which can be expected to soar.
The technicians producing product need to become aware that, with little private requests to go around at the moment, its better to cooperate, have a central funnel for paid requests, distribute the work so its done fast, have some quality control.
To actually create more demand for this type of product.
That will actually allow this technology to prosper, in anticipation of the legal reaction to it, which is bound to come.
While trust can and must be established between all involved privacy of all must be maintained. the more spread out over the globe all technicians are the better. that ensures the craft stays on and develops, even after probable single setbacks in some locations.
So the webmaster needs to see he is in for the lpng haul. To build a community, of technicians. And a public, that wants this type of product.
The technicians need to see this as more than a hobby. As a key skill, a new form of art. Movie making in a novel way.
The humans who like to fap will throw their money after you.
But only when the sprit of greed temporarily gets replaced by a spirit of calling.
